calling to order the GT-40P's but........

OKay so what is the deal here, talk about a monopoly, I was calling to order my heads today, but they said my Flowtech long tubes wouldn't work and that I needed to use the GT-40 headers, what exactly are these, are they shorties, unequals, I feel cheated, I just got the whole exhaust system about 3-months ago and if I want these heads I can't use my headers or my h-pipe, (made for long tube headers, so it is shorter.)Any ideas, I might as well get more expensive heads just so I don't have to buy new headers, h-pipe, etc. Any suggestions? What heads will accept my Flowtech Long tubes? Anyone have an idea? Thanks, sorry about all the posts of late, just doing some Stang shopping ( huge grin )

Yeah the heads require different headers because the location of the spark plugs are a little different but just enough to get in the way of the regular header primary's. I've seen the shorty's for $200 but not sure about the long tubes. The flowtech headers will fit the majority of the popular aftermarket heads.

Dave is right on. The Flowtech's have been rumored to maybe fit, but I haven't seen it. Check out the website in my sig, it has all sorts of header info on it. There are a few different headers that'll work with the P's in a Fox stang. Ford and Mac both make short headers that work. The regular Mac longtubes will work also. I am probably going to switch to the Mac longtubes, so my Ford P shorties and off-road H pipe will be for sale soon. If you are set on keeping the Flowtech's and if they don't fit the P's, you may just want to pick up some used GT-40 irons. You can find them for around $350 - $500 and your headers will work with them no prob.
