What model was it? Assuming it was a Z28 camaro, not an RS:

Pre 1993, they ran low to mid 15's.

Pre 98 they ran high 13's to low 14's.

All the newest ones run high 12's to mid 13's and are a real threat. Watch out for the new ones.

Default Some Camaro numbers

94 Z28---275hp-- 1/4 13.8-14.1 We've seen 13.8 but I'd say 14.0 is about average

95 Z28---285hp--1/4 13.8-14.1 No different from 94, even if you are talking about 95 and 1/2 there are no hosepower adding mods.

98 Z28---305hp--1/4 13.7 I'd say more like 13.5 or 13.4

2002 Z28---320hp--1/4 13.6 saw one run 13.4 3 times at 662 feet above sea lvl bone stock.

Hope this helps.

LOL, maybe with a downhill run and a tail wind that old LT-1 Camaro will get a 13 stock. Most run mid 14's. I suppose if you want to quote the best possible times you can use a 13.8. In which case the 1987-1988 5.0 is also a 13.8 car, and after that 1989-1993 they run 14.2, and 1994-1995 run 14.5.

I have a video of when I went to the dragstrip and got a 13.9 @ 99.9 mph. Keep in mind that this was at Fontana's California Dragway. I'm not sure on the elevation but I have been there several times and have never seen a stock LS1 on street tires run faster than that. Most would have a higher trap speed (usually between 100-102 mph), but would only get 14.0 - 14.3's. Actually, most of the modded LS1's would not even break into the 12's! and I'm talking cars that had ET streets. I just went to Palmdale (LACR) and ran back to back 14.2xx's at 97.1 mph (with my friend in the car!) and 98.3 mph with just me. That elevation is close to or atleast 3000 ft. A guy I know has a brand new 01' Bullitt and was there when I ran the 14.2. He knows how to drive pretty well but was only running like 15.5's at 91-93 mph. Believe me, I am not saying that LS1's do not run low 13's or even high 12's stock. My biggest point is that there are too many factors that will affect 1/4 mile timeslips and mph and everyone comparing times from different dragstrips, different states, different countries, different continents, does nothing in my opinion. Ask Skyman where he got his 12.54 @ 107 mph. It was at Carlsbad (almost sea level). Ask him what his best time is at LACR. I'll bet it is mid to high 13's at maybe 101 - 102 mph! I have never run my car at Carlsbad, but I went down there once with my brother to watch. There was a guy there with a Corvette running 12.1-12.2 at 112 - 113 mph. I saw him at Fontana a few weeks before that only running 12.8-12.9 at 106-107 mph. Big difference if you ask me. Sorry the post is so long. I hope I have made a point with all of this blabber!

Default 1/4 times

88-92 z28 w/l98 350(made a peak of 245hp in 92) were mid to high 14's (most were closer to high 14's)when running/ driven correctly.

93-97 z28 w/lt1 were running high 13's to low 14's again when driven/ running properly.

98+ z28 ls1 mid to low 13's

I've seen more than a few stock LT1's run 13's. A buddies stock 95 TA, automatic ran a 13.9. Another 95 6-speed ran a 13.8. A few more also. But no it's not the norm. I guess it's kinda like most Fox bod's are in the 14's with the exception some in the 13's.

Talking Even spread...

Tried to give even spread numbers - the lower of the two are obviously optimistic.

I agree with LFive - conditions and location play a large factor.
When I raced my first Z 94 vert with only panhard rod (only mod at the time and in no way effects time) I did a 14.2 and that was with those lousy 2.78 gears and speed limiter. I believe the trap was 98MPH - I was disappointed, but then again it was my first run. This was at Thunder Valley.
Tulsa Speedway, I run against my father's vette - my mods at that time included CAI, exhaust, !MAF, !TB, and only ran 13.99 first run, and then a 14.3 on the second run - third run, my engine started surging...never found out what was wrong (I wrecked the car 4 weeks later). My friend the same day was running consistent high 13's the whole time with his 96 trans am, which also has the LT1. His was a hardtop, so it had the 3.23 gears, and he had thrown a CAI in it.

Strayed from the subject alittle there, but wanted to share my experience with the LT1 and the times...again, I agree completely with LFive: conditions and location - the rest is up to the driver.
