Exclamation Cold + Torque = Wheel Hop

So I decided to take my girlfriend home late. It was about 2 in the morning when she got in, and I was driving home. I decided to go through town to see if they put up christmas lights or not. I was all alone stopped at a red light (you hit one, you hit them all unfortunately). I see two pairs of headlights coming up in the left hand lane (I was in the right). One, the white one, pulled into the left hand turning lane. It had a fart can on it. The other, a red integra with a fart can and a huge tach on the dash, pulled up next to me. The kid looks over to me, grins and looks at his buddies in the left hand turn lane. They nod as if to say "Take him". (Or, haha, Smoke him... ). So the light turns green, and the integra floors it.... I go half throttle, to see what it has.. I'm still pulling on him... At 4000 my blower kicks in, and that's when I stepped on it. It was cold, I have stock tires.... The car began to bounce up and down violently! . I was not ready for that. I figure it was my tires hopping up and down trying to get traction. They finally grab and my *** end slides a little... damn it, almost lost it cause I was playing with him. Anyway, it still wasn't close. I beat him by more than 10 car lengths-ish. We went again, I played with him again (just couldn't help it).. same result...

I liked this guy cause he didn't do a fly by when I got back to the speed limit.. maybe he was too embarassed? But he really shouldn't be, my car even stock is still a Cobra.

Lots of fun

Oh yeah, not many Xmas lights

My cobra suffers from wheel hop too. I get lots of wheel hop when I shift from 1st to 2nd.

Any cobra is an awesome car,

When my car was all stock w/ just 3.73s it used to wheel hop. I put on the heads, cam and intake and then I've never had it again. It just burns tires like crazy on the street tires, but no more wheel hop... weird.

I think Kenny Brown and Paul's High Performance sell IRS parts that are supposed to help with wheel hop.

Oh, I don't know, I still think it is fun. But then again, I'm the guy that cheated at Monopoly while being the banker. I guess I enjoy the easy ones
