Gettin' beat by Corsicas and Neons
Just had a flashback of the times when I had the V6 '79 stang. Man, all the time I got picked on by Berettas, Corsicas, Neons, Tauruses, old beat up cars, Grand Ams (Grand Prix was out of my league-- by the way, what is the plural of Grand Prix?), stock pickups, etc, etc. When I went to the track and ran a 19.5 in the 1/4th (had another V6 '79 that ran 18.7!), my brother laughed at me and said it looked like I was going for a Sunday drive.
Anyway, I made sure I payed them all back after the stang got the V8 transplant. Just thought I'd let you all know. “…because, no one’s really gonna be free until nerd persecution ends.” ---Revenge of the Nerds ------------------------------- '79 Mustang Coup 4" Cowl Weld wheels (15x6;15x8) Stock 5.8L C4 w/ shift kit 1.5" MAC full length headers Holley 750 CFM Edelbrock intake 2.5" Off road H-pipe 8.8" Rear end w/ 2.73:1 gears (sucks!) My friend has a 79 coupe with a 351c 4.10 grs, it's pretty darn quick. |
