Post Darn cobra driver!

Last night, my buddy and I were pulling out of our subdivision, when a guy we know drove by in his '98 Cobra. I know it's got flowmasters, and he said he had 3.73's put in it. Anyways, we follow him down a country road, and we were going like 40mph. He dumped it down a gear when he nailed it, but I had to nail it in 3rd, cuz If I would have dumped it into 2nd, my tires would have went up in smoke b/c of my 3.73's. So, anyways, he pulled on me there. Then, we turn onto another country road, and we're cruising about 20mph in 2nd gear, and I was getting ready to pull up beside him so we could run evenly, when he just nails it! So, I nailed it, and my tires went up in smoke, I HATE that!!! I maintained an even distance behind him, but couldn't pull on him, b/c he got an unfair jump. Anyone else have this problem with other people????

I realy hate it when people wont give you a fair race. They are too afraid of losing.

I just hate it, b/c i pulled even with a '98 cobra w/ 4.10's that ran 13.2 in the quarter on the street, and all i could do was maintain a contanst 2 car length space behind him. doesn't matter i guess...with my crappy tires, if we would have done it from a stop, i would probably have still been sitting still throwing them up in smoke while he was down the road...LOL...I need TIRES TIRES TIRES TIRES!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, I have the prob too, but mostly only in first because of the AOD. If I can hook in first, the other guy is in big trouble! If it is any cooler than 45* outside, the tires just let loose above 4K.

Yeah I really hate the fact that the stang burns them all the way through second. I think part of it is the cold weather because when it gets warm I think tires hook better (plus I get dr's in the summer).
