Went to court today for the ticket that I mentioned in two posts in the "ever been pulled over for racing?" post. Got plea bargain of 6 months suspension of license, $150 fine, and 75 hours commmunity service. This also included dropping the charge from Recless Driving: racing to Recless Driving: general, for insurance sake.

Oh and by the way, my lawyer said that I was VERY lucky to get this as this was a very lenient sentance. I was (only) going 65 in a 35. Welcome to the great American Judicial System.

I think your lawyer is right dinomite, because I was with a buddy and he got pulled over outside of town for racing on the highway. That is still screwing him and he's still paying for it. Has to get the full coverage and pays out the ying-yang.

maximum sentance here, $300 fine and or up to 30 days in jail. The jail part NEVER happens.

I don't think lawyers are worth **** , except to plea bargain cause they know their buddy (the other attorney).

No, reckless driving is a misdemeanor. My lawyer knows what hes doing, I hate to say, just the legal systems is set up horribly.
