I finaly got a race with a non-ricer. A 96-98 GT that had some mods. Atleast exhaust and rims anyways.

I wasn't really going to race this guy as I was just going to pass him to get in another lane. But he reved and dropped the hammer. I nailed second gear but my RPM's shot to 4500. I started pulling right away, hit third and continued to walk on this guy. But the problem was that there was a car infront of me (remember I didn't think this was going to turn into a little race so wasn't looking too far ahead). I had to hit the brakes to avoid the car infront. I might have been able to pull ahead of this guy and cut him off, but I'm not one of those ignorant racers. I try to be a little safe ;).

The crappy part is that after I hit my brakes I had pulled a car ahead, he hit his flashers! I was like WTF? Dude, you didn't win jack! I mean I guess I never won 'cause I hit the brakes a little early ( in the name of safety and common sense), but he was not winning at any point of our little race, I pulled him the whole time!

Well I don't know if that qualifies as a win or loss, but it was fun:cool:

Yeah, that's weak, and the guy probably really thinks he won. Like he could actually stop your pull and put a couple lengths on you just like that! :rolleyes: What a moron. Well, IMO, if you're still driving a near stock 96-98 GT and think you're gonna be winning street races, you've got some other issues to deal with. ;)
