New Best Time, Think THere Is Still More In The Bag Though??
I went to the track yesterday, and ran a new best of everything,
best 60ft-2.181 (run 3) best 1/8th-9.267 (run 3) best 1/8 MPH-76.15 (run 1) best 1/4-14.350 (run 2) best 1/4 MPH-98.01 (run 1) on the best MPH runs, i had one tire near 35psi, and the otherone was at like 27psi(the valve is leaking, but i didnt know that) the best 60ft run, i took off from idle, and just got on the gas once the clutch was out, tire pressure was at like 27psi in bolth. do you think there is still room for improvement? i wasnt powershifting, but still chirping 2nd gear good. thanks

Congratulations! I just posted my new best times about a minute ago.
How much better was this from your previous best?

previous best(last year) was a 2.24 60ft, 14.691@94.7
i added a steeda shifter, new clutch, bbk headers(1-5/8 equal legnth) 2.5" off road pipe, flex a lite fan, and that is it. i was still running 10* timing.

Hey Bowtie, you should've told me your timing was at 10*, I had my timing light there. I got 9 runs in total, 3 runs from 10:30 to 11:00! I got my best time when I took my friend for a ride:
R/t .802 60' 2.205 1/8 9.379 77.33mph 1/4 14.40@96.39 I was typically running 1.5mph faster when driving by myself. Still missing some horsepower but at least my driving's better, I dropped 6/10ths from my first time out! I just picked up my Performer RPM intake yesterday and I'm hoping to put it in Monday night, I can't wait. |
