I used to run 2 chamber flows, and they were go-hide-the-children loud!

The Flows are probably the loudest...I think the Borla's perform the best, and the Bassani's last the longest...either way, any of those 3 are good. As long as you have converters, you will remain fairly quiet.

The MagnaPack is by far the loudest catback exhaust I've ever heard (I've also heard Borla, Bassani, flowmaster, and dynomax). Match that up with BBK LT's and a Cat H-pipe, and you probably have the loudest "legal" combo out there...

the loudest muffler by far is the Dynomax Race bullet. you can compare them to a 1 camber flowmaster.

My Borla's sound awesome but are definately not loud. I have my stock 6 cat h-pipe on still, though. I agree with Cravnpup on the Magnaflow. I've heard cars with them and hiflow cats (at car shows and what not) and they sound pretty mean.

On my 89, I had just a 2 1/2 offroad h-pipe and the american thunder kit by flowmaster and the damn thing was loud. Or even louder get the 1 chamber flows.

Thrush Magnum Glasspacks....loud as crap, and they're cheap! $15 apiece...but I guess I'm not running cats...My exhaust is illegal as sh!t...but I've never gotten pulled over for it here in western Nebraska...I have a friend who has a '85 Dodge Pickup with a 318 out of a Duster that is cammed up and he got busted for his exhaust about a month ago. He just bought a '92 Camaro he thought was pretty fast. I raced him today. Hahaha...there's a new subject on the board--"New to him '92 RS".

Best part about loud exhausts. When you go through a tunnel and drop it down a gear or so. People cut a path around you unless they like loud confined obtrusive noises . If you want really loud, just slap on a dual exhuast system and a set of single chambers. H-pipes actually soften the sound a bit. Anytime the system can share exhuast pulses then there are more pulses per second which tends to make things quieter. By just connecting a muffler and a pipe to the header (cast iron manifolds absorb some noise)and not synching the two, pairs the engine down into two four cylinders. thats why those damn fart cans are so annoying. Then again you could just make some zoomies and go for the ulitmate 1 cylinder effect. The only down side to this on a street car is the loss of cross-over removes some scavenging from the exhuast system. Which concidentaly is not needed on a Chevy according to the experts around here (my neck of the woods) . The same guys who swear up and down that a 305 is a cam eater, but I digress.
