Post finaly got my gears installed and stomped a troll.

Ok , Im working from 8-3 on sat, and while Im working one of my good friends ran out of work and decided to stuff my gears in for me. He did an awesome job and I head off for Palm Springs to visit my mother. Me and my girl are cruizing down the 10 around 75 mph when she looks to her left and says "Look, another Mustang just like your's, a 94-95 5.0." I look over and theres a white one lowered on 18"s with clear corners and a nice exhaust. I look over and this guy is staring at me so I drop in into 4th and piss with him a little because I know he wants to race. Were in too much traffic to race so he guns it and goes around the car in front of him. Now I have to catch him with my girl whining in my ear. We cant get good room to race so we kept passing eachother for about 20 miles. We get a LITTLE room and when he's already ahead he floors it and gets the jump too. He beats me before we hit traffic and blips his hazards. So I keep up with him and pull beside him. He doesnt even smile he just flips me off! Im going WTF! This guy just got the jump on me when he was ahead of me, pulled for literaly 3 seconds and thinks he beat me! No way, We were side by side for another 5 minutes when the freeway finaly opened up. He was about a half a car ahead and again he took the jump instead of waiting for me to line up with him. He gets a full car length ahead of me when I start pullin his *** . At first I was pulling kinda slow, but as soon as I started to wind it out and hit 5th it was OVER, I slid right past his *** and hit my hazards when I was about 2 cars ahead at about 125 mph. Of course he does a lil-bitc* fly by only this time Im flipping him off and smiling from ear to ear. Gears are awesome, now I need to get my controll arms installed.

Me too, he was a black guy with his hat on backwards. He had a sweet ride, I wish I could have asked him what else he had done to it.

That pisses me off when people act like snotty little kids.

I kinda had that happen to me one day when I got up next to some old car (pretty strong though). Before I got a chance to get even close to lined up with him (rolling @ ~40mph), the dork hits it and then has the nerve to throw up his hands as if saying "hey man, what are you doing, I pushed it for nothing". Stupid.

In your case though, it really pisses me off when Mustang folk (the guy you raced) do that kinda crap to other Mustang folk (yourself).

Cool

Congrats FASTANG!
My chum got 3.73's in his '99 GT - it felt WAYYY faster.

As for ET improvements - anywhere from .3 to .5 are what you'll get.

I think it will pull a mid to high 13 now. I love the gears. I am happy with them. I think 373's might be a little much when Im doing 80 on the freeway so 355's are good for me. I still have the factory cat back and the factory headers, they are REALY holding my car back. My engine wants to perform but my exh just wont let it. Unfortuately my grandfather died last month, but he left me a grand in his will. I intend to buy longtubes and a mac cat back and then charge a GT40 intake on my CC. With that combo dynotuned with a custom chip I hope to pull 12's very soon. I will definitely keep posting.

Good kill! If the guy is an *** it makes wooping him that much sweeter, especially in front of your girl. I was going to my friends house in the mountains and got stopped behind a new turbo beetle at a light. I thought nothing of it until my brother( in the car w/ me) sais that the beetle is trying to pull on me. So i follow him close and when the road opens to two lanes he nails it and i drop to 3rd and blow by him. As i pass i look over and it is some little teenager with his Fred Derst Red NY hat on backwards peaking out from a little crack in his blacked out windows. He had a fart tip and all. I throw the hazards then settle behind a pick up. And sure enough he pulls the ricer fly by. He was so pissed. Light Em Up!!

Cool, fastang i had an extra 1k$ to spend a couple months ago, i had my eye on longtubes, h-pipe, and a new catback(old one is rusted) but as soon as i cashed that check, my clutch fan decided to dive through my radiator, so i got the black magic 260$ radiator 110$ coldair 150$ and the rest on car payment and insurance .

good kill, i also agree on being able to cruise at 80 without a problem, no 4.10's for me.

"noslo50" What really pissed me off was that he totaly thought he beat me and flipped his hazards like he whooped me when he was totaly cheap. I think he got so mad because my car looks totaly stock. If I had put money into my car and a stocker beat me,(especialy that bad) I would be pissed too. 90dpscoupe, do you like the aluminum D.S.? Is it worth the money to buy it? I want to change my U joints soon and the fms aluminum ds has the joints with it already so I was considering getting one. Please let me know.

Nice Kill. People like that don't know **** about racing or cars. They drive fast because they have a quick car. Not because they love the machine for what it is.

If I ever upgrade the good ole 2.73's I want the 3.55's because I love highway driving!

This is how Im figuring it, The last time I was at Pomona without gears, my friend gapped my plugs .30 thousandths too short at 24 instead of 56 so my car was running horribly. I still hit a 14.40 at 97 mph. I fixed the problem and the car really woke up, very noticeable. I think I could have pulled a 14.0-14.1. If the gears are worth 3-5 tenths then I should be able to hit a high-mid 13 now.

fastang, the driveshaft was worth the 159$ to me, i needed new u-joints, so i went ahead and got it all, i felt a little difference, just a little load off the drivetrain, and a little less weight.

I really would of rather got my subframes, (which i havent welded yet) first, but oh well.
