Post First race with GT....not even close

I was driving to a friends house in my GT at about 4:00 pm yesterday afternoon and a couple of blocks away from my house i stop at a light with a krauted out White Volkwagen Golf, i'm absolutely sure it was a non-turbo. Anyways, i look over to the passanger and the driver and say, "wanna go?" and rev a few times. Then the driver asks, "is that a 5.0?"....i just nodded my head, and then he said, "my engine is not even half your size" so i said, "it's just fun!". They both smiled and waited for the light to turn green revving their engine. The light turned green and the golf dumped the clutch. I eased onto the gas trying not to spin, but that didn't happen. I spun the tires up to about 5500rpm going maybe 25 or 30 and shifted into second and still spinning. The tires start to grab at about 45mph by then i'm about 2 car lengths ahead and i pulled hard up to about 60 where i let off. I slowed down beause of traffic ahead and the golf drove by and gave me a thumbs up. They were good sports, and a fun (if not very competitive) race. That was one of the funner races i've had just because the guys in the other car were actually pretty cool.

heh heh, its always funner when the person is a good sport.

About 2 weeks ago was driving out to LAX to hangout with some friends, on the way i get some traffic on the 105 which was a surprise since i was going west into LA. Durring this traffic i see a nice i believe 01GT convertible and we pass in traffic. When it clears up i see him fly by, so im like, alright im up for fun, so i speed up and line up to him, we were at about 80. Then we give it full throttle and were about even and i started pulling a bit, not too much though and we stop at about 105-110. What was fun was that it was SO close and that when we stoped he gave me the thumbs up and i nodded as good sportsmanship, would have given the thumbs up but was shifting.

L8er guys
