Cool First race since 3.55s installed! (Smoked a Cobra twice.)

(Well, second race, but the Chev. Blazer doesn't count.)

I left work about 2.5 hrs early today b/c I feel terrible (throat's killing me and body is exhausted). Anyway, it always happens to me when I have no intention of getting a race.

Anyhow, I'm cruising on my way home and a few cars back, I see this red '95 Cobra trying to get next to me (you know when it's on before it even starts ) and I'm trying to take it slow so he can catch up, but bro man beside me wants to get in a who-can-drive-the-slowest contest w/ me. So, I decide to play musical cars so the Cobra can get up next to me.

Finally, Cobra comes up on my right and guess what, a red light. Guy starts laughing and I start laughing too b/c we knnow it's on. He throws me a rev and I throw it back. MMMmmmmmwwwwaaaaahhh!

Aaaw junk. Turning lanes get green light first. Then I, while sitting there waiting, hear Cobra's rpm increase a little, I shift into 1rst (gonna manually shift the C4 cause haven't had a chance to adjust the trasmission module--it shifts too early and I don't wanna take any chancees w/ this Cobra).

Green light.
Minimal spinning on both our parts.
Before 1rst gear even wound out, I had almost a car length. By third gear (that's all I got ), I had the Cobra by at LEAST 2 car lengths. Shut down @ ~80 mph. Ho yeah baby.

We waved and cruised beside each other until about 3 lights later (where I was supposed to turn to go home, but plans had changed by then).
With endless road ahead, sitting at the red, I looked over and made small talk with driver and ended it with "Wanna run again?" As soon as I said that I noticed that the light had already turned green and he answered my question by getting the jump on me-- his rear bumper right beside my front bumper. So, I hit it and directly after shifting into 2nd, I had already reeled him in. After shifting into 3rd, he was a car length behind me and so I cut in front of him. At next light, a little more friendly small talk and I tell him to have a good day-- I knew I would.

Giving the Cobra driver some credit, I could tell he wasn't powershifting in the last race and so I assumed he didn't in the first either. Would've helped him out a little.

Well even though I am sick, I can sleep easy.

Major mods will already be done before this year is over (hopefully around September--or before), and I'm talking the necessary mods that will get me into high 11s.

Yeah, I can feel much more confident w/ the 3.55s. Next time I go to the track, probably next Sunday, w/ some Mickey Ts in the back, there is no doubt in my mind that I will hit the 13.9s.

What I would really like to race is a C5. I am sure that I'd get beat, but I just want to see by how much.

4.10s?
I've always wondered about that. How can someone run 4.10s on a car that has a C4? Well, I understand how, but why? Seems like C4 + 4.10s = trailer car. I'd be all wound out after the 1/8 mile, no?
