First street race

I raced my friends 93' Lx today for my first street race since i bought my car...he has a mild cam, full exhaust, and maybe somemore. I beat him by 1/2 a link and sent him home with his tail between his legs.

I just bought my car as a project car to build up and fix up. Well he has had his mustang for about a year now and always talks about winning all these races and how fast his car is, well he stopped by today and was sayin he wanted to race me. So i agree and we go to this pretty long road to race down. He says he wants to race from a roll because he has worn out kumho's and i have a pair of ET streets i borrowed from a friend to use at the track this past friday. Well anyways we started from about a 10 mph roll...i honked 3 times and immediatly jumped 1/2 a car ahead and kept my lead through 3rd until we shut down. It was a pretty even race...no one pulling so it probably woulda been really close had i had my street tires on there. But it felt pretty good to win my first street race.
