Smile svt focus

i've been thinking of getting a focus at firts i was looking at the zx3 thier not bad little cars, but now that they have released the svt with its 170hp on a N/A engine thats not bad from a little 4 banger. i'd of course start mod's right away and get every little bit of power for it i could. and of course i'd still be keeping my mustangs as i'm rebuilding it anyway. i'm going to go down to a dealers tomorrow and check one out, and see if they have the steeda focus (www.steeda.com) and see what the difference between the two is. so what do you all think about the little focus. and no i'm not going to do it up all riced with a billion stickers. i just don't mind that little car.

If I where u, I'd wait till the 300hp SVT Focus comes out. It was supposed to come out last year, but as everyone knows, a car that light, with that much power, would have killed the GT's then. But know that Ford busted up the power of the mustangs, I'd be looking for the little street legal "rally edition" AWD, SVT Focus soon.

where did you hear about the SVT Focus gettin 300hp? I haven't heard anything about that. Seems hard to believe.

btw....Ford hasn't boosted the power on the GT's....it's still the same as it was in 99.

i don't know of the power being boosted but i've been hearing about the awd focus. but the new mustangs don't they use the redone 4.6 in them? i was reading about the 2003 mustangs getting a redone 4.6 that actually get more power than the first one.

I think the '03 Gt's are going to get the motor that was going to go into the cobra.

About the 300hp Focas, I think it was in Motor trend, but I'll look it up again, I still have it somewhere.

Yes the Mach 1 gets the "old" Cobra Motor.

The GT's will likely stay the same until 2005 when the redesign happens and then I've heard there going to take the 4.6 to 5.0L's. That would be a great marketing strategy, "...the New 2005 Mustang with the 5.0L V8!" People may not realize it's still just a 4.6, just stroked or bored out some.

Ford might be smarter than we give credit....Naw it's just the guys on team Mustang
