Stomped a few wanna be's!

Last Thursday while on the way home I got stuck behind this Pontiac GTP that thought he was king of the hill. I've seen him at the track and he runs 13.4's on Nitto's. He's got a smaller pulley and some other stuff done. He was in an out of traffic and at one point raced a 2000 SS Camaro and had him beat by a car length (the SS was spinning). So I get behind him at a traffic light and we're turning left. I give my car a good rev to let him know I'm ready to play. He looks up and laughs, that was enough for me to want to stomp this guy.

So the light goes green he keeps it in 1st as we round the corner and soon as we're around it and going straight he punches it. He gets about 1/2 a car on me before I hit it in 2nd. Through 2nd and into 3rd I pulled him by 2 cars and he gave up by 70MPH. At the next light when I was getting on the Turnpike he didn't look at cocky as he was earlier!

If that wasn't enough today on the way in I was behind this guy in a Lexus sc400 coupe. I was following him through an industrial area to get to work and as we were waiting for a left hand turn light he started to rev the motor like he though I was ready to race. So the light goes green and he punches it going sideways through the light. I went easy on the gas (skinnies and corners don't mix). Soon as I got straight I got on it and gained the 4 cars he put on me then pulled a car length on him. Had to let off because of traffic but fun none the less.

Sad thing is that a few years ago I wouldn't even consider these races but now with prices of cars and the lack of a street racing scene this is the best it gets anymore.

There needs to be a disclaimer there. Moroso (where I ran the time) has screwy equipment when it comes to the traps. My car on the previous pass went 103.8 in the other lane and just this weekend in Gainesville went 12.92@103.24.
