Default car related wedding gift idea... input needed.... come on guys!!!! help me spend 10k

i have found a 65 fastback for sale for a decent price. i've always wanted one but really dont need it since i have a coupe i'll NEVER get rid of.

my girl is somewhat of a car girl and her dad use to keep a few show cars and would let her drive em at car shows.. it really thrilled her. so i thougt of giving her this 65 and fixing it up for her.. problem is there is only 4 weeks to the wedding and no way for me to restore this thing in 4 weeks. . maybe 4 or 5 months but not weeks. so anyway i'm thinking of something simple....

disk breaks
fresh 289 i just happen to have laying around
c4
stock everything else.
RED paint maybe?
original type rims

my idea is to keep most everything stock and let her drive it to all the carshows around.. maybe even put air conditioning on it.

what do yall think? and NO i dont want to hear any of u GUYS say you would marry me for this car!!!!

Ok, I'm guessing you're trying to figure out what you should do first? Well if that's the case then I'd take into consideration the type of girl she is when it comes to cars. Most girls I know of (no offense to anyone) are into cars for their looks. Now I know I'm gonna get a lot of crap for saying that... lol... but around my town it's true. So if she's into pretty cars you may want to go with a paint job and some rims. Now I know there are some girls that like to get their hands dirty and would take more pleasure listening to the engine rev... lol... So unless she's a real gear head and wants to see what's under the hood (which she doesn't sound like the type from what you said), I'd paint it and put rims on it. That's what I would do... just a thought

...or you could listen to James and buy one that's already restored... lol

well she is definatelly a show car girl.. thats sorta how we met.. both had show cars at the time. now she's a little interested in racing.. she's been bugging me to build her a bracket racing car. which i have but havent let her race it much yet..

i'm not really thinking of making this car fast at all.. just pretty and able to take home a trophy every now and then.

Ok I've got it!!! ...paint and rims... make it pretty for her... then you can both restore the rest and build it up a little together like Crazy Horse said... you two can bond then

Can I marry your wife to be then? lol Girls that are into cars are the best. I've tried teaching my g/f, she's learned alot, but she mostly comes to car shows cause I go not cause she wants too.
