Fun day (long)

My stang is at Ford today getting serviced, so I asked my roomate if I could take his car out (95 integra) to get some lunch. That car is pretty fun to drive. It is a dog under like 3K, but once it hits VTEC range, that thing comes alive.

Anyway, so Im cruising through traffic and I notice a fox body 5.0 coming up on me fast. As he goes around me, he throws a rev so I began to chase him. We played around in traffic for awhile, and then we hit an open stretch. Needless to say, he pulled on me pretty hard, then started to slow down so I caught up and lined up next to him (he was probably surprised that I didnt do the flyby) I signaled for his girl to roll the window down, and I told him that I had a stang too, and that this was my roomates car. I didnt want him to leave thinking I was a white ricer. His car sounded mean. Next I lined up next to a riced out integra, same color and everything, but the guy driving had 4 passengers and wouldnt look at me. I wanted to try him, but he wasnt game. Driving that Integ, though, you take on a whole new attitude, its weird. Kinda like acting, I guess.
My question is: why cant I go out for 5 min in my GT and find 2 quick races?!?!?

You know, if you hadn't posted that, chances are that he would have. and you would have been some flyby ricer that got spanked. Funny how things work out.

Oh, and I know the feeling. No one ever wants to try the Cobra, well not anybody in my hp range. Lot's of guys with NOS wanna run with the spray. I just look at them like they lost their mind. I'm no IDIOT, crazy yes, idiot, no. That would be like running PAM in her murderous 502 'Maro.

when you drive something slower it makes you appreciate your car a little more. http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/smile.gif

Oh well, you beat me to it (a post about driving other vehicle than the stang).

A friend of mine let me use his '79 Ford Van to drive around for as long as I want to in order to save engine wear & tear on my Mustang, gas, and it gives me the ability to drive faster hwy speeds. Although it is NOT a pretty van, it is fun to drive. It's pretty big (and a humbling experience--what some people do for their cars. http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/redface.gif)

Anyway, I knew it would happen. You won't believe some of the cars I get up next to in the van. Sucks. Anyway, this'll be a good experience in the long run. Don't hafta run premium gas either. I got a 1/2 tank with $5.00!!!!!!! http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/smile.gif
