Post Great Night of Racing! (long)

Tonight I saw the Fast and the Furious. Leaving the lot, there was Rice galore, and a few domestics. Unfortunately, there were a ton of cops out too. I was REALLY in the mood to race, but with so many cops out, I didnt want to take the chance. I was giving my three friends a ride home, and they were all getting on me to race someone, but I held back.
Well, after dropping two of them off, I take the opposite turn down my road to go back through the deserted road one more time and look for a possible challenge.
It was perfect, I pull up to the perfect red light right before a mile of straight road, with nowhere for cops to hide. At the light there was a really loud, mean sounding Nova, with Chevy pride type stickers all over it. Right behind it is a Chevy 1500 Truck with some guys in it, and they were all cheering at the potential race. My bro in the passenger seat rolls his window down and I look over to see if they're game, when I notice my best friend Ken riding shotgun in the Nova. He yelled to the driver, "Hell yeah, that's Jason's stang, you gotta race him!" The driver said, "You wanna do this?" I said, "hell yeah," but I was shaking cause I thought the loud, lopey cam meant death. The car had fat tires out back too. The guys in the truck were all cheering prochevy things, and I had to win, cause my friend has never been in my car during a race, and I wanted him to have respect for the stang. Also, the chevy guys expected a kill, so I had to show em otherwise . The light goes green, I take off, get a little squirrly on the launch, hook, and IM off like HELL, at 70mph I was way ahead, and I think he gave up, cause I pressed on to 110 and he was nowhere to be found.
The funniest part is, I pulled over at my house, which is right off this road, and left my hazards on, but the dudes didnt even stop by, even though my best bud was with them, and was probably trying to get em to stop. Their pride mustve been too badly damaged. Great Night! Ford rules! and loud does not = fast. Thanks for reading, later.

Thumbs up

I just talked to my friend Ken and the story gets a lot better.
Ken was the guy riding shotgun in the Nova, and there were 2 other Chevy's following the Nova, all three were out looking for a challenge for the nova. Ken told me the Nova was just finished and the guy had put in a built 307? and the usual exhaust and traction stuff. The interior was completely stripped, and as Ken said, "I felt like I was in the Flintstone's car."
Anyway, I guess they were out looking for a race when they saw my headlights coming up fast on them, and Ken said, "Is that a cop?" And the Nova guy said, "Nah, its just some poser about to get bitched by me." Well, I definitely didn't get bitched, and after the race, the guys in the other 2 Chevy's were giving the Nova guy a hard time the rest of the night.
The best part is that Ken has a modded stang, but thanks to a DUI, can't drive it, and the chevy guys always talk about how slow stangs are, and they make fun of his ride. I guess they'll change their tune now, though!

BTW, the 4.10 gears go in a week from Mon!
