HElP.....can i win this race against 1996 Z28

Hey... I drive a 1996 Mustang Gt w/ intake, new filter and 3.73 gears. My friends got a '96 z28...bone stock automatic Lt1. Now i ve raced other z28's but im scared to race him....can i win..?

how did you do against the others?? the 96-98 gt aren't too quick so your chances aren't too good

I wouldnt worry about it. If you win, great, if you lose, do it gracefully. Be zen about it.

(Sorry, I'm in a philosophical mood,lol) If he's a buddy of yours, you shoudnt sweat it, and do it as friendly competiton.
If he beats you, you will just have to "raise your bar" and come back for a rematch later.

well we raced yesterday....it was gr8. Heres the story. We were both at a light turning left. He was in fron of me in the left turn lane. He tunred and gave it some gas i did wut i had to to keep up. Anyways, we slowed down to about 20 and i bumped him a couple of times. We both floored it, he got a lot of tire spin, i kept mine to a small sqeak. Somehow he pulled about 1/4 of a car on me but as the speed got faster i quickly reeled him in. By the time we hit 90 i had blown him away. It was gr8 i was so proud of my stang. anyways he has the Lt1 and well it really didnt seem that fast. Thanks fer the input guys.
