Default help!!! my e/t's blow

ok, i've been down the 1,320 several times, I know what i'm doin, (a smokin 5.12 r/t) but with an auto AODE, i'm confused as to best utilize all the ponies an momentum out of this car. its not race ready by any since, bonestock 94 GT w/3:73's,cai, an exhaust.

i'm confused as to how i'm trappin such a low speed. consistent mid to high 15's. at anywhere between 86-88 mph. an i can't break 14's at all. either i can't drive , my car is a peice or i'm doin somthin wrong.

help!! i know the 94's run 14's bone stock so what am i doin wrong?

i pull up, stage, raise my rpms an stomp it on the 3'rd amber. but the trannie is stock, do I need to shift the auto into a lower gear an do the lil "1-2-drive shuffle" like with the aod's in the 93, because i've never heard of doing it in an aode?

granted the track conditions are attrocious- 98* w/ 70 percent humidity, but is it that coupled with my driving style thats bringin down my e/t's?

That mph is way low. stock you should be able to pull between 90-95. your letting it shift for itself? thats whats holding you back. next time out watch where and how soon it shift then try the aod shuffle and you should see an improvement, but bewarned that the aod shuffle is hard on your tranny.

have you tuned your car up at all?? plugs and wires are good? where is your timing set??

You need to start out with your transmission. I would start with a good quality converter(dynamic, precision,pa). Pull the tranny and have it beefed up. Some taller gears would get you moving alittle faster, but with the converter, it should be ok. Do the little tricks, timing, shortbelt, ice the intake between rounds, pullies, remove some weight. Tranny is really holding you back.
