If you were winning when you let off, then you won. Unless the Civic was reeling you in.

This guy pulled a typical ricer stunt..... Keep racing after the race is over so it looks like you won.

yea you definetly won dude...thats the backup plan for an import racer, if they cant win, or are racing a domestic, they will wait untill u back off and blow by you and for some unknown reason brag about how they blew u away. its happened to me many a time

I stop when one of two things happen:
A) There is a clear cut winner or loser
or
B) Speeds are unsafe/traffic is coming up. Usually about 130-140 km/h (80-85 MPH) is plenty...
Always be safe! It's not worth paying the ultimate price for a piddly punk in the other lane.

You should agree on a finish line and have someone there to see which car won.

Cool

Either I have, or have been, completey destroyed and there is no hope of catching up in a reasonable time... I try not to double the posted speed limit.

Whatever happened to marking off the quarter mile? In my area we mark it off or have a stock car drive it. Then we usually have two people standing near the finish. Eliminates all the BS. Just my take on it.
