How fast are camaro&firebirds (2002)?

Curious to what these cars run in stock form. LSI 6 speed. Anyone know E.T. & speed in the 1/4.

They run low to mid 13's normally and every so often high 12's in perfect condition. I dont know about trap speeds though. I doubt you will ever see one do high 12's though

Truely stock ones run mid 13's @sealevel. Here were I am the elevation is at 3000ft and they run low 14's here.

Friend of mine has a 2001 SS with the SLP Exhaust and it went 13.47@105mph. Most Ram AIr TA's I have seen are only running 14.00@102mph.

What elev are you at.. All the TA's here are running mid-low 13's.. I know mine is faster then 14.00...... no numbers.... but, there's no way this thing isn't in 13 something

I saw a new SS with exhaust and ET steets last time at the track. His best was 13.1. That was at 800 ft elevation.

3000ft..........Your car is hard to launch on street tires. If you are at sea level you should hit 13 something:)

I have run a best of 13.79 in my cobra bone stock at 3000ft.

Id say they can trap 106 stock, but i seen a variety, some trapping 100, some doing 108 with a cuttout, i do believe the a4 ss is a monster, especially with a stall.

I don't know the elev at the local track, but here in my city we're about 6-8ft above Sea Level... Some places, we're actually below Sea Level..... You can cut our air with a knife

well just like with any higher hp car the 1/4 mile times will vary greatly by driver, track elevation and weather.

however a properly driven m6 ls1 will go mid to low 13's with the very rare high 12 from a freak of nature car

when you see these 14 sec 1/4 times for ls1 cars i usually try to find out what they shifted at and what the 60ft was.

just from my own personal exp...

i raced my brother in his 02 firehawk m6 with my 99 30th m6. both stock. his with 3k miles mine has 23K. he is still learning to launch and shift quicker in his. he ran a best that day of 14.1 i believe (he regularly hit 14.3's) at 102mph or so (on 2.3-2.7 60' and shifting @ 5500). i ran 13.5 @ 106 on 2.2 60' (yeah i know still getting this launch crap down, don't get to the track more than 1-2 times a yr though) i shift at redline. this was at kil kare raceway oh, in aug heat, not the best racing conditions.

he later ran his firehawk at englishtown nj and got it down to a 13.7 @104 (his 60' still is in the 2.3 range though)

so just like a mustang... you never know what your gonna be racing ;)
