Yeah, he filled up a little container under the hood with alcohol( not the kind you drink if thats what you're wondering;) ) From what he said, it's injected into the incoming air and lowers the temperature some, so that he can run higher boost while using 93 octane pump gas and not have to run racing fuel which is expensive. I don't know too much about turbos, but there is also a 97 turbo camaro in town that I would like to meet up with this summer.:)

Super. I'm talking just an intercooler. It's not gonna happen.

With just an intercooler, no 12.30's aren't possible without uping the boost and adding a little race gas. He still probably remained stock, only adding a boost control, so some would say the car is still stock. When dealing with GN's, stock has many definitions. I'm around plenty of them all the time, the guy that tunes my car specializes in them, so they have many definitions for "stock", always remember that.

Oh, and as far as the alcohol container, you can buy a kit that converts the windshield wiper reservoir, that way when someone checks under the hood, they have no idea.

The GN is probably my favorite car, but I have to laugh when people say "barely any mods" or just adding this or that. Poweradder cars are very easy to make faster. A little race gas and 2 turns of the boost knob & slicks and my car runs 10s from 11.70s at full weight. I added the turbo, but you see it doesn't take much to go faster when you have a blower or turbo. Adding boost to me is a serious mod because it can have serious consequences if not treated properly. Anyway, they can be made quite fast with the right amount of money pumped into them like any other car. I recently saw a 10 sec CRX that would surprise anyone on the street.

Hey Turbo99GT, Nice car! Judging from the article, it sounds like the boys in MM&FF were a little harsh on you for not having the right safety gear :D Oh well, your changing a lot of peoples mids about the 4.6 2V with #'s like that, especially in only one run!
