Hmmm, sounds like I may have a race after all.

Whadya think, Cummins turbo rocket-ship versus Powerstroke turbo rocket-ship.

Actually, a good friend of mine has a 97' F-250 Powerstroke. If anyone is bored enough to care about a match up like this lemme know, I could set something up and post the results.

Yeah set that race up and find out what happens. I have a buddy with a '98 3/4 4x4 Cummins and we were going to have a pull off at the Silver Lake Sand Dunes. It never happened though.

I should race my buddy and post what happens. I think he would beat me though, because the Cummins has a higher idle and reaches boost faster (I know because I drove his). If we both brought the rpm's up against the brakes though, I think it would be real close. I do have 4.10's, but I am not sure of his gearing.

I race every chance i get. Or at least i did.
Most times i'm the instigater.

Once i had to hooligan kids pull up on me in a '78 or so Camaro with open dumps..
Kid yells out "Hey that POS got any balls?"
Light went green, i dusted him in second gear.

I yell back "Yeah, and they're bigger than yours"
:-)

I've had mine for 3 years and I've probably had 10 races. First one was about a week after I bought it, bone stock, up Lynn Rd. in Thousand Oaks, the guy basically blew me away twice and flashed his reverse lights at me (anybody recognize themselves? Skyman?). I'd sure like another shot now that I've got the new engine in, but nobody plays stoplight wars in T.O.

not many right now...but I'm going to remove the badges from my car and I suspect that will get me a few more. The only problem then will be to convince the little modded ricers and v6s that you're too much for them without letting them think you're scared to race .

I get into about 2-4 races every Saturday night, and anywhere from 1-3 on Sundays. But that may be because me and Tim C go out and look for trouble. We usaully find it. Friday nights here are to risky, the cops are in the cruising spots more often.

I'm talking about serouis competitors, not riced up Hondas, or Neons.

I used to own an 89 honda prelude. I would always look for other preludes and crxs to race but they where never to be seen. The only thing that would ever pull up next to me at a stop light where v8's. It weird cause now that i own my 95 gt every time i pull up to a stop light there is a prelude right next to me. I guess im cursed.

I know what you mean GT-hunter. I've thought about removing the snake from the side... I might get a few more races also..

The past few days, all it seems that I line up against are soccer mom's in mini-vans...
