HyperGT vs. 1972 240Z
Well, I finally got my car going. Installed a cage and bunch of other stuff over the winter. E-tested and passed with 7month old gas in the tank!!!!
Anyway to the race. My friend recently purchased a '72 240Z with a stroked 2.4L Rebello motor - California car. Very nice car, felt really quick when he took me for a ride. We decided to try a roll on at 60mph, both in 3rd gear (he has 3.54s), I put 2 cars on him in third, shifted into 4th at 5800rpm, he caught 1/2 car back, then he shifted and I slowly pulled 2 more to 135mph where we shut down. I dont know about you guys but I dont call it a kill, a win yes but it was still pretty close. Man, I was really surprised how well he kept up at speed. Oh ya, I still had the 7month old gas in the tank, not sure if that made any difference? Next time we will take it to the track and see what he runs? Man I need a power adder.
