I ate a 99 snake and spit him out!
I was on my way home and this green stang was riding my butt. well we stopped at a light and i looked over and saw it was a 99 cobra. these 99 cars(gt-cobra) allways mess with me, and used to beat me. I,m not just another slow 96-98 gt anymore we gave the nod. we both took off. by about 100mph i had at least 3 car lengths on him I talked to him real quick at the next light and he said he only had an exhaust. but still, I one.

46stang, what does your car run at the track or on the G-Tech? Glad to see some one else running a Home Depot cold air system, hee, hee.

i just put the heads and stuff on last weekend so i'm not sure. i'm hoping to make it to the track soon. check this out, today was my lucky day earlier tonight after i ate dinner a ls1 ss camaro got right behind me at a light. i took off easy, well i see him in my mirror quickly dart to the right lane next to me and try to pass. so of course i floor it. my car bogged on the bottom of second a little so he pulled to my front door, i grabbed 3rd then 4th, i then saw he was at my back bumper, then all of a sudden he crams on his brakes and shots over 3 lanes of traffic to get into the far left turning lane. i'm still going straight. we stop at the light and the chump wouldn't even look over at me. poor loser. i guess he was embarrased he got beat by a 4.6. i haven't had a good race in like 6 months and i get two in the same night. awesome. killed a cobra and a ls1 ss. ok i didn't kill the ls1 but i definately think i one. it feels good to beat something other than rice

Damn, sounds like an awesome setup that you have there. How much did it all cost you? Did you port those heads yourself?

actually i've only spent about $1300 total. i had to buy one head $375, my x pipe $400, and cat back $425 + misc. i did side jobs on the parts guys cars, so he bought everything else for the head swap, and other stuff. I did port them myself. carls bad is kind of far for me, but i will definately try and go. just let me know when. i'm dying to see what it will do. im thinking at least 13's especially after those two races.

ITs even farther for me. Im 30 miles north of you. But I would say 13's EASY. The new GT's can run 12's with the same combo as you on slicks. Look at mustang 92, he just did it. Not to mention you heads are ported.

It's nice to see people working on the 96-98 cars. They get pretty overlooked and underestimated.
