I have already ordered a MAC cold air kit and some steeda pedals ( i needed new pedals ) but that was with other money... so i still have the 300 but i have been hearing on this board that pulleys aren't all that.. some people say the car is over heating and what not... i was thinking maybe some better injectors 24#. maybe a 70 mm tb and EGR spacer or some white face gauges....

Save the $300. Don't spent it on anything stupid. Turn that $300 into $1000.

Wait until you have enough money for better gears. Gears are AWESOME. I just bought an '89 GT with 3.55 gears and no matter how i drive the car it is in the power band all the time. whereas my '84 LX has 3.08 gears and i rarely get out of 3rd gear when racing and i usually have to drop down 1 or 2 gears. It makes acceleration really intense and it doesn't cost all that much, you could probably have someone else install them for a total cost of around $600 plus the gears. Good luck!

Well, for $300 you probably aren't going to change performance that much...although the suggestion of the Pro 5.0 shifter is a great one...I would say buy the White Face Gauge overlays for about $75, then get a Gauge pod and some "Real" Auto Meter/VDO Mechanical Gauges. I put some in mine, and while it is ZERO improvement in performance, I love the look of those gauges - and you look at your gauges ALL THE TIME while in your car...so that made sense to me.

How are the white faced guages made? Are they just a sticker you put on over top of the old speedo? If so then you can print up some on your computer using special printing paper and ink. Are they really so special?

I would do shorty headers and an offroad h/x pipe. A friend of mine did these on his 88 GT and it really pulls hard now, this might end up bein' a little more than 300 but you can find used headers and h pipes on *cough, cough* corral for cheap, hope this helps.
