Talking

It make perfect sense to me. Big wing=Fast car. Bigger wing=faster car. Biggest wing equals import aristocracy. Got anymore questions??

Most of them don't even know why you need a spolier to begin with, let alone which set of wheels actually does the pulling.... I say let them put bigger, and larger wings on their cars.... Just one more thing to make us look even faster.... All that metal in the air does nothing but slow them down at highway speeds...... On some of the fiberglass models, there is a small pressure relief hole on the underside of the foil that goes across the top. If you were to find a ricer parked somewhere, put a small dab of epoxy or other substance over the hole, when he gets up to speed and the pressure changes too much... BOOM!!!! no more rear wing, the diff in pres will cause the wing to explode.... heheh

Since no one else has responded with a logical post, I guess I will be the one to do it. Most wings that people put on a car are just for looks. That is more than likely the reason that the "rice burners" have wings on their cars. Functional wings however are good for cars no matter what their drivetrain layout is. Wings are made for high speed stability and part of the cost of stability at higher speeds is extra drag potentially limiting the top speed of the vehicle. As to 98SteedaGT's suggestion, I am sure that you would find that amusing, but you sure wouldn't want someone tampering with your car for their amusement.

It was just a joke, I wouldn't actually go do it.... I saw that information on a sticker that was on an un-painted wing in a body shop one time, and it stuck with me as I hadn't thought about it before..
