Hey Guys I Got A Story To Tell First Ima Tell You The Mods To My Motor 2 Bbl Carb. Motorcraft,e 303 Cam An E7's No Exaust Bumps, 3.55 Gears: Vs. A 95' Or 96' Cobra ,ha Funny At The Light He Was Reving His Motor So The Light Turned Green .......jumped Out Three Cars On Him .......he Eventaully He Caught Up An Passed Me One Car Before The Next Light ........when We Got To The Next Light I Told Him I Had A 2 Bbl Carb He Felt Stupid..........

I am sure it was a 94-95 cobra. They are slow.

hey guys got a question right now my stang is runing the factory 10 btdc i want to change the timing but im not sure what i can safely set it at. any help would be apreciated.thanks

I Beleive Its 14 Degrees Btc First Mark A Line On Your Dis. An Block Cas If Al Else Fails You Can Go Back To Your Original Spot,,,,,, Unloosen Your Dis. Bolt A Little Some So That Its Snug But Can Still Turn It Start Your Car Turn It Just A Little 1/8 At A Time ....if You Hear Any Knocking Than Go Back Some Untill It Stops And You Should Be At Your Limit And Make Sure You 89 An Up Octane Or You Will Knock Like Crazy...........

Not trying to knock your story...but it doesn't sound like you really whipped on the Cobra if you jumped out 3 cars on him...and he still passed you. Sounds like you have a lighter stang with 3.55 gears...and you drove yours better.

Sorry Buddy It Was A Fare Race If We Were Racing 1/8 Th Mile Than I Beat Him He Was Tryn To Race Me ,reving His Motor At The Light An Lookn At Me ,so Light Turned Green And Off I Went ,,,,,,,think That Was Pretty Good For A 2700 Lb.car From The Factory Minus Sway Bars,power Str., Ac, Condenser, All Hardware That I Didnt Need Including The Rear Seat,,,,, But That Was Then An This Is Now............

If you were racing 1/8th mile? Riiiight...but you weren't. :p Is that how you gauge who won a street race? By who was ahead at the 1/8th mile? In my book...regardless of how much you jumped him by, in the end...you still lost. Don't get me wrong, it sounds like your car did great for what it is...and you got an impressive start. But that could be just because the guy in the Cobra didn't know how to drive well...and your 3.55s might get you out of the hole quicker.
Let me explain...let's say I raced a Dodge Viper, or some built to hell big block muscle car. I get a killer start and jump out some 3 or 4 car lengths because the other guy is spinning. He's got more power than me, & maybe he can't drive all that well. I hold him off until like 70 or 80mph. Then he catches up and blows right by me. By the time I'm at at 90mph he's got me by 3 car lengths or so. Do you still think I won the race? :rolleyes: Because I didn't...in this make believe race...I just got a better start, but in the end...I lost the race.
It's one thing to post about your race...but to say you won...or "whipped the Cobra" would be incorrect. So again, you hardly whipped on the Cobra. If he was ahead of you by the end of the race he won, you lost...you just got a better start...plain and simple.

i agree...most stangs can beat anything off the lineup to 60 -70 or so...i kill mostly all cars by me and i hardly have anything done to my car...

Ok ,,,,,once Agian Let Me Tell You There Were Four Lights In Total From Start To Till The Time We Slowed Down An Talked,,,he Reved His Motor An Nodded At Me To Race So The Light Turned Green,,,had Three Cars From The Jump Didnt Say He Caught Up Till After The Race Was Over------------we Raced To The Second Light , Then He Caught Up After I Let Off The Gas ,,,,there Fore Meaning I Won ,,,then We Stoped At The Fourth Light It Was Red Then I Told Him What He Got Beat With Is That Clear Enough For You..............now Lets Say Me An You Were At A Light An You Reved Your Motor---wouldn't You Be Ready To Race,,,same Thing With Him He Was Ready He,,,,no Driver Error He Just Got Whipped
