One thing that might help traction is to mount the battery in the trunk next to the right rear wheel. Use #2 cable. Run a ground cable directly to the starter motor rather than grounding to the body. Doesn't seem like moving 50 lbs. would matter much, but it does. That's because the weight is going from the extreme front to the extreme rear of the car. Use a Moroso vented battery box as that's required by NHRA to pass tech at the strip. If they're really sticky, they might require an external battery cut off switch. They've never made me do that, but they could. Just an idea to improve traction that it sounds like you need.
