I usually don't post my races, mostly because I don't race much. But last night I had two cool races, one with a stock 02GT and the other with a GTP! I have never given a GTP a second thought before, but they deserve some respect! I had just finished racing the 02GT and pulled a U-turn to drive home. I was just crusing when I see this GTP gaining on me like crazy. So I down shift and I nail it after he passes me at like 40+ over the limit. Needless to say I had a hard time catching him. Finally we get a clearing and he guns it before I have a chance to and I have to play catch up again, this time it was alot easier to catch him. He is thinking he was the winner. After i contest, he has us pull on to a private road to go from a stop.
We race twice, both times I abslutely killed him by over 10 cars and I shut down in 3rd! His GTP was absolutely stock, but man I thought I was in trouble when having to play catch up. If I raced the 02 GT and the GTP at the same time, the 02GT would have beat the GTP from a stop. i have no clue why I had such a hard time playing catch up. hmmm

good kills
I have a friend w/ a gtp they are not so good off the line (too heavy and not alot of torque) but on the freeway w/ the sc wound up and relying on hp more they are preety fast . I raced him in my 00 durango and I got 2 or 3 cars on him before 45 , 50 mph then he walked away from me (far away).

I drag raced a GTP a year ago and he got beat by about two car lengths before I shut down at 70. And this was without my full exhaust and pullies.
I raced another one at the track last March and I got my *** handed to me. He ran a 13.6. I don't know what he had in it but his supercharger was SCREAMIN in the burnout box. It looked stock.

I raced the 02GT on Treat starting from North Main and we played all the way up to Cowell. I made the U-turn at Cowell and the GTP chased me down on Treat. We played catchup on Treat and did the other two races by the BART tracks which is Minert road intersecting Bancroft and Oak Grove. We had to race a second time cause the guy "messed up on his shifts" heh.

Yea last time to the track i was parked next to a big GTP meet, about 8 of them from austin, i checked some of them out, the SC's look cool, one guy i talked to said he was running 13.8, and that his friend had a 12 sec one, none of them wanted to run me though, they looked down at my tires and said id kill them off the line, which i would have badly done
