well for what its worth most imports make a lot of power per cubic inch compared to some of the american v8's like some of the chevy 350's make 280 hp? thats under 1 hp per cube you take a civic SI motor at 160 hp and 97 cubes thats 1.65 hp/cube - see the difference? i could also defend that they get upwards of 20-30 mpg where my v8 sees like 12 haha or even take a stock 5.0L that makes .75 hp/cube - then again a 4 banger will never have the torque of a v8 - have u seen the new wrx sti's? 300 hp/300 trq from an import thats pretty impressive along with it being AWD. now if you see a civic witha bunch of stickers, lowering kit, fire extinguisher, and a monster tach - yeah i can see what your trying to say, all show no go ..and maybe even no show. but there are SOME imports out there that are quite fast.
