Post Cylinder heads for 86 stang.

I am considering putting a set of GT40 heads on my 86 mustang.
I will be using the stock camshaft for now but may consider a change later
Now as i understand, these cars came stock with flat top pistons, so do i also need to put in different pistons in order to avoid the valves and pistons colliding.
Any help is appreciated...

I've heard of people running E7's with 1.7 rockers on 86 motor's with the stock pistons. It might work, if you will be using 1.6 rockers and stock cam since the GT-40's do have bigger valves than E7's. But no matter what " I would check the piston to valve clearance," just to be sure. Always better safe now ,than sorry later....

T-top 86GT budget project. So far a total investment of $125 & and some labor.

New parts added to arsenol 8-2001***** Traded my ponies for Compu Car adjustable N2O kit. Parts includeds are bottle heater, purge kit, Phantom N2O pressure gauge and MSD 3 step reatrd box... Looks I will be running 10 holes...
