Killed 3 camaro SS's at MOROSO today !!!
I am jumping out of my seat over here !!!
i went to moroso today, for outlaw racing ... no timeslips, no et or mph... but you can race all day for $10 bucks... i went heads up vs 3 different 2001 LS1 camaros ... and i beat them all !!!!!!!!! i was on STREET TIRES TOO! http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/smile.gif two of them were 6 speeds, and one of them was automatic, i beat the automatic one by 5 car lengths.. and the 6 speeds by 2 or 3 at most.. but i realized that i'm the WORST driver in the world.. i hit the rev limiter in EVERY gear in EVERY race on spray... i also raced 2 cars off spray.. a 2001 subaru WRX AWD turbo, and a 3rd generation z28 vert.. i beat them both without the bottle, so overall, i had a ******* awesome time at the drag strip.. and it was my first time out there!!! as for my gearing, i ran out of gear every time, i had to shift into 5th gear to pass the traps on spray... but it was fun to kick the pants off of 3, $30,000 cars with their cat-back exhaust and upgraded AIR lids and other mods... FORD RULES !!! i've spent less than $9,000 on my car, and that includes the purchase price and full v8 conversion from a 4 banger ! hahaha |

I have a Jacobs Nitrous Mastermind (that controls the nitrous), and i use it with the NOS SNIPER wet plate kit, 150 shot.
it works REALLY well. did i mention that i spanked those SS LS1 camaro's on STREET TIRES !!!!!!!! FORD !!!!! |

Sounds like fun. I have never heard of a track operating without slips. That is kinda the whole point of being there right?

you are right, it is the point, but , once a month moroso motorsports park has what they call an "OUTLAW RACING" day.
where you pay just $10. and race all day against anybody you want. its fun as hell. and just to see who is faster in a totally safe environment... it really kicks A$$... not to mention, that i did just that ! FORD !!!!!!!!!!! the other guys told me their trap speeds were just under 105.. so i was a bit faster than them, i would say i'm in the 110 mph ballpark, probly just under 13 seconds.. more like the 12.98 12.99 range. |

Sheesh marty ! thanks for replying.. sounds like you REALLY hate Brand X... but i have to speak up on their defense.. i mean, those cars run pritty hard right out of the box (LS1 Z28's and SS camaros).. i've had to work my car to hell to get it where it is... and i had to use a bottle to beat their barely stock cars...
either way, i like all muscle cars. wether its a GM or a Pony... and racing them is even more fun ! FORD !!! |
