Largest ET Street on an 85GT?

A question for some of the True Street or drag radial racers out there: Will 28x12.5 ET STreets fit on an 85 Mustang without serious hammering on the wheel wells? The wells have already been rolled. If they will, what's the best rim size; 8, 9 or 10 inches? What about backspacing: 6.5 inches on 10 inch rim, 5.5 inches on 8 & 9 inch rims? We're trying to figure out what the largest tire is that we can run. The car is an 85GT with 363 stroker & 250HP shot of giggle gas with a C4. Previous best with the car is 9.18@149 on 28x10 ET Drags.

Thanks.

Jeff if I remember correctly the 6.5" back spacing is way too much for a Fox body, and even with the 6" you need to do some major work on the inner wells. I prefer to call them "massaging", I know I have seen a 84 or 85 with 28" x 11.5" ET STREETS on it but I have no idea what rim. I haven't seen that car in a long time either so he may not be around.

Will you be at the NMRA event in June at Maple Grove, in Reading PA?

I belive Dave Hopper ran a 28 12.5 et street at Norwalk last year in true street. If you can get ahold of him, he may beable to help you out.
