Launching
I can't take it any more. My buddies keep busting my chops about my launch because my best 60' is a 2.2 and that is absolutely roasting the street tires. I can't seem to figure out what RPM I should be launching at. I either bog or roast them. Anyone out there have any suggestions? I have a 2000 GT 5-speed that is stock save the K&N.

That's not too bad of a 60 ft for stock tires but, like you said, not that great either. Try this. Launch at around 2000 rpms + or - couple hundred. Feather the clutch out. Don't dump it. It'll help keep your tires from wanting to slip. Also you might lower the pressure in them maybe 10 psi or little less.
