Losing sucks.....but
 

Tonight I got my @ss handed to me by another 5.0. Damn I hate losing. This guy had a beater-looking '85-or-so GT with stock wheels. The only tip offs were the mean-@ss exhaust and the fuel pump hanging off the rear bumper mount (visible from the rear). Anyhow, we rev'ed at a light then took off. This guy left me like I was standing still. Right now my car's running like crap (way too rich...fouled plugs, etc.) but he'd have wailed on my either way. Losing always sucks but we both met up after and had a good laugh. So maybe it doesn't suck so bad losing to another 5.0. As long as it's all in good taste.

84-GT350, Did you find out what mods he's done to his car? Bore the 302 to 306, 3.73 to 4.10 gearset 8.8" rearend, BFG drag radials and rip his head off!

We didn't get too much into mods. He said he's got a cam, heads, a "built" engine, and the usual stuff. I don't think a 306 and gears would've beat this guy. But he'll get his after my project's done this summer. He's not gonna be able to keep up with a juiced aluminum headed 331 (at least I hope not).
