Talking Lost to a M3!

I am waiting at a red light in the left lane. There is this brand spankin new red M3. He is in the right lane maybe 1-2 cars back.

I can hear him rev his engine? I gave him a little rev back as I put it in first gear. The light turn green and I drive my way down the road to the next stop sign. He waves in and out of traffic to get behind me. I stop at the stop sign. As soon as I start moving he floored it and move over to my right. I punched it too but obviously he got the jump. At the end of first geat he is at my passenger door. I gets tons of wheelspin in second as I make my way down to his rear bumper. I shifted to third gear and it was pretty even all the way to 8000rpm in third. I was about 1/2 car behind his rear bumper when I back off because the next stop sign is comming fast. He didn't stop at all. He went right thru the intersection.

All in all. I think its a good defeat. My 4th gear is a killer. I wonder if I could catch up with him? Somebody know what those M3 trap on the 1/4?

my friend has a couple light mods as in air filter/exhaust and he runs mid 13's at like 104mphish. he mostly has the car set up for road racing so i believe he did a few things to lighten it up a bit as well. sounds like it was a close race! Maybe you should get some drag radials for the street? that would probably help alot!

I have good tires. They are just not large enough. They are 195/50ZR15 Hankook Z2000 DOT Road racing tires. The treadwear is 80.

Its a very nice tire. It was perfect when my car was not turbo. But now I think I will need a 205 tire. Like an Azenis or a Toyo RA1.

No civic have a LSD (Except japanese models). There is plenty of aftermarket LSD for my car but its pretty damn expensive.

The Integra TypeR is the only integra to have a LSD.

Thumbs up

I think the most recent M3's have a 333 HP 6 cylinder. MM&FF did an article that had one in it a while back. I think it was running mid-13s. Quick car.

Better yet, get a electronic boost controller with gear selectable boost. Apexi typr AVC-R makes one but it is a bit pricey. I was thinking of getting one for my car when the Kit arives
