RESULTS - Grand Prix GT vs. Celica GTS
Here is the result of the race:
15.45 @ 88 mph - Grand Prix GT 16.08 @ 88 mph - Celica GTS Both cars had bad 60' times (2.3 for the GT and a 2.45 for the GTS). They were only able to make one run as the guy in the GTS was hosting a party that night and had to get home. Both guys knew they could do better, but the GT won this one. The GTS was coming on strong at the end of the track, but the GT's lead was just too much to overcome. The guy in the GT also left the auto in "2" and ended up hiting the rev limiter pretty bad. We could hear it in the stands since he has aftermarket exhaust. Also that night, there was a 2001 Lightening with chip, K&N, smaller crank pulley that ran a 12.91 @ 105.xx on the stock tires with a 2.0 60' - folks, these trucks are QUICK!!!! Cool!
I thought the GT would win. These guys should line up again in the future to see who has improved the most. ------------------ 1995 Mustang GT |

damn, It was pretty close sound like whoever gets the better 60' time could take it. I thought the gt would win though.

That sounds about right. I'm sure with some practice, the GTS will win, but a win is a win!!!!!

Thanks for noticing the deuce & a quarter. I have to rebuild the engine, and am trying to decide what route to take, stock or high performance. If I go high perf. I should be able to get close to 500HP normally asperated. With 500HP, I should see some 13 second slips. We'll see...

How could either be coming on strong with equal trap speeds? Hehehe.
