LT1 vs 2000GT
I finally figured out this web thing you guys are talking about at the races...
I just have one simple question... ...whats with Lizard King's headlight trick? is this actually a trick or what...? |
Can't speak for LK personally, but I believe my cold air induction (home made on my '66 carbureted) Stang is good for 10-15 hp. Don't really know how his is routed. 14.6X is plenty fast for a 4.6 though. I'm sure he can clue you on this.

Hey 4mula how are you? Man I told you that trick should be good for 20hp. http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/wink.gif 14.6 is good for a 4.6L but a 13.6 like Lizard runs is even better http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/wink.gif ------------------ SHP RACING http://www.shpracing.com/images/shp_logo.gif http://www.shpracing.com/images/cars.gif www.SHPRACING.com Hang on for the ride of your life! |
4mula??? Do I know you? hmmm...
There is a nice hole where the headlight comes in that rams the cold air directly in the intake... The difference is very noticable on third gear. When race that 2001 Porsche Carrera 4 (hello seth http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/wink.gif ) , he clears a good 4-5 car lenghts from 60mph right to 100mph. With the headlight out he clears a 1-2 car lenght on me. ------------------ Lizard King, Bone Stock; 13.69 at 101MPH • Extreme Burnout •2000GT VS LS1 • Quartermile run •2000GT vs LX Stang |

Ported & Polished 65 heads shaved .01 with 351 windsor valves, 11:1 comp, 1.7:1 sled rockers, blue wolverine lumpy cam, modified autolite 4100 Hipo 4 barrel. And to many others to list 2000 Perf Red Mustang GT. 5spd. BBK Underdrive pulleys, Flotech off-road H pipe. Hurst T-Handle 64 1/2 red 6cyl coupe. Auto. project car. |
I'd be a liar if i'd tell you. That was last year, and I go through about 20 races a weekend. I just don't remember.
