![]() First off, that was one heck of a video production...I loved the background music. Very nice.
![]() The E55 AMG is just sick. I think it makes 469 HP, is AWD and is therefore as very formidable foe. At a race I attended last year with the Central Ohio F-Body Assoc., there was a brand new AMG, but not an E55. It was still a very quick car - especially out of the hole - again AWD. It was a supercharged motor with the guy running mid-low 13's at around 104-105. Pretty cool out of a 4-door sedan. E

![]() Yeah that car is pure hook and book, no burnout, not even tire chirps when it shifts. Just pure GO.

![]() They put some time into the production of that little short. Mercedes looked under pretty good control the whole way. Was that two races or one? Looked like the Cobra was doing better in the 2nd run. Still got beat.

![]() It was two races....a rather large movie to dowload too. The Mercedes was just awesome....but it looked to me the cobra was having troubles with traction on the first run...and on the second...looked like he was much more in the race....still lost.
I was just curious what everyone else's opinion was on the launch. I have never owned one...(have drove a 98 cobra once) I was under the impression those cars need to be launched higher in the rpm band then most cars. Did you think he was launching it all that hard?

![]() Well for one thing its not AWD its RWD second just think of how much that guy spent on his car then the cobra. Those things are like 80,000 doller cars compaird to a 40,000 doller car. I love the E55 AMG though. with the mods the cobra had he could have beaten that guy but looks like traction was a problem.

![]() Yeah That Cobra spun pretty hard but I dont think that he could have done much better than that on the street.

![]() Yeah the first round the cobra owner was fishtailing and going sideways all the way down while driving on the rev limiter, the second was closer although you can hear him hit the limiter again. AMG Mercedes kicked his butt fair and square though. I wish i had either of those cars.

![]() O3' cobra's are really hard to launch best results are around 2500 rpm to 3k with some good tires. That independent rear is tricky. Very prone to wheel hop.
98 cobra eater makes some great videos. I've seen a few of his productions. He lurks over in the other forum I mostly post on Stangnet.com.
