Post Moroso results w/ stock 207K '87 GT

Just took the car, the daily driver to see what it could do. the weather was ok....it had stopped raining so it felt pretty humid, probaly 80-90% i would guess.

Just took it down once to get a time and then took it down once more goofing off...smoking the tires and whatever..just having fun you know. this time was the first..i was granny shifting at 5K, about 3/4 of a tank of gas, and did not slip the clutch..i didn't even pay attention to what rpms i dropped it at..just didn't care..just there to have fun. This run was against a GTP Grand Prix..the supercharged one. he had some gauages on the A-pilar...not sure of the mods...i was alittle nervous running it actually.

60'......2.251

1/8......9.4 @ 74 mph

1/4......14.6 @ 95.51 mph

The GTP ran a 15.4 @ 92..i took him at the finish line by about 7 cars.

i was just hoping to hit a low 15 honestly with the mileage and it being stock. i was so happy with that time slip considering the weather, 207K, and the fact that chucks of my motor mounts are missing. you could feel the engine moving alot when shifting. i will get that fixed before i run it again if i ever do.

Just wanted to share...

BTW..i would guess that there were probaly approx. 75 Hondas, Acura's, etc....there..only 4 beat my time and they had either a turbo or were spraying. The 87 GT held up great..ha ha ha. fun times.

i should be there friday if there is no rain....i'll be in a blue '87 GT
