Music for the street!
Hey, what are some of your fav. song to curise/race by? The latest track for my car is: Tomb Raider TRACK# 4-Get UR Freak on 6-Ain't never learned-moby 9-where's your head at 12-Song of Life 13-Edge Hill 15-Devil's Nightmare I like electronic/techno, dance, some rock, pop rock... and so on. It depends on the song. OTHERS: GARBAGE: Only happy when it Rains and I Think I'm paranoid. THE CARDIGANS: My Favorite Game. (the whole GT2 sound track, almost). ROB D.: Clubbed to death. NEW ORDER: Confusion (the best). THE MORTAL KOMBAT SOUNDTRACK. #2-Goodbye #4-Unlern #10-Burn DIGITAL EMPIRE 3 [Phuturism]. DISC. 1 #4-afika shox #9-battersea #11-breath from another DISC. 2 #10-beachball 11-we are your future 12-the fear THE RIDGE RACER REVOULTION SOUND TRACK (all, but it gets boring after awhile). I have others for curiseing but I'll share those later. I also make my own music too.. MY TOP #1's are: Higher and Higher (dance) and Ain't Nobody Learned. |
Dude, I was totally contemplating this today! Gotta say that the Gone in 60 seconds sountrack (huge fan of the movie) rocks, “Flower” by Moby always makes me do a smoke show or 2! “Lowrider” by War is the definition of a classic cruzin tune. Sh*tty mood? Gotta go with Eminems “The way I am”. Limp Bizkits starfish disc is another disc that’s good for getting me going. I know you guys are gonna think I’m nuts but if I wanna mellow out and cruze I throw in the new WWF disc and play “Pie” by The Rock, goes along with the vanity license plate “PIE” on the stang. But without a doubt the best tune to get me looking for some ricers is Motley Crue’s “Wildside”. God, now I’m all fired up, time to go find a race.
|

JAMES ------------------ Black 1990 gt cobra bonestock not for long |
Yeah, I see most like fast and HEAVY. I like some HEAVY stuff but I don't take it with me all the time. I need smooth, liquid beats/songs. Helps me control my driving. Stops me from going crazy at the wheel. Beats and bass keep me more in tuned to the car than on the music. It might sound odd, but I'm a fast drive and I can get out of control easily. So that's why I chose dance/techno/electronica type music.
|
Joe Satriani! I think thats how you spell it, sh$t. Top Gun song, Metallica, I cant drive 55,old Van Halen. Stuff like that.
|
i guess i have a little different taste in music when i'm driving. i like blast metallica "one", that double bass gets me cranking. then i switch to some "punk" a little AFI, Alkialine Trio, Midtown, or Greenday works for me!

|
This is an older thread, but I would say Van Halen's Eruption for sure. Edward just rips the thing up on that one. I'm a fan of the oldies to, "Hot Rod Lincoln" "Hot Rod Race", etc. Lots of good old songs about Fords being the stuff.:D
|
someone was searching some really old threads to find this one. geez....to get going in the car, DISTURBED. To get going on the bike, I sing "Stupify" to myself. Good thing i wear the full face and no one else can hear me :D
|
A couple of good songs I like to listen to when I am crusising down the road are:
1.Turbo Lover by Judist Preist 2.Bang Your Head by Quiet Riot 3.Fuel by Metallica 4.Turn the page by Metallica That's just about all that I can think about for now. :D |
Im no fan of country, but Cadillac ranch by the Nitty Gritty Dirt band is just a great song for driving. Makes people look at you kind of funny though. Its all good.
Also gotta see if my sig works. |
me an hot5.0 subscribe to the same school of music i beleive:D bumpin mostly burns of various people, beatles, zepplin, twizted sister...
old rock, hairmetal, punk, new ska (reel big fish, less than jake,) highway to hell-ACDC best damn cruisin song in the world!! mostly rock, power pop, Marvelous3, googoo dolls, better than ezra, sister hazel etc.. bumpin my man Butch walker's latest joint, Left of self centered, good ol fashioned kick ya in the *** arena rock power rock, check out it fool!! :D http://www.butchwalker.com i love cheezy stage antics, foot stomps an "nah nah nah's" out the *****!! |

Vanilla Ice!!!!
"....Rollin, in my 5.0...." from Ice Ice Baby, by Vanilla Ice. Before you all start booing, think about it. How many songs actually mention the 5.0? Actually some of his new stuff is really good. If you can find it, check out his new CD "Bipolar". If you like Slipknot, Powerman 5000, Mudvayne, etc, you'll like it. Seriously, give Vanilla Ice a chance.
Other recomendations: Down with the Sickness - Disturbed Whiskey in the Jar - Metallica Enter Sandman - Metallica Heavy Metal - Sammy Hagar One way to Rock - Sammy Hagar I Can't Drive 55 - Sammy Hagar Eruption - Van Halen Hot for Teacher - Van Halen Paranoid - Black Sabbath Keep 'em Seperated - The Offspring The Kids aren't all Right - The Offspring Why don't You Get a Job - The Offspring Dig - Mudvayne Wait and Bleed - Slipknot Heretic Anthem/Heretic Song - Slipknot Surfacing - Slipknot People = ***** - Slipknot Bodies - Drowning Pool Ridin - Buckcherry Lit Up - Buckcherry Thunderstruck - AC/DC Welcome to the Jungle - Guns 'n Roses Paradise City - Guns 'n Roses Sweet Child o' Mine - Guns 'n Roses Regulators - Nate Dogg and Warren G I Love Rock and Roll - Joan Jett and the Black Hearts Fat Lip/Pain for Pleasure - Sum41 Crawling in the Dark - Hoobastank Death Row's Greatest Hits CD Last Resort - Papa Roach Dead Cell - Papa Roach Courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue - Toby Keith Play Me Some Mountain Music - Alabama Wow, that was a lot! I've got more too! |
I flip through CDs like crazy...
Jungle/Darkside Jungle - underground DJ mixes Drums n Bass - mostly all of it Metal - Testament and Overkill Classical - Tchaikovsky, Mozart, and Handel and a whoooooole bunch of 80s compilation CDs. the early new wave stuff rules - Crowded House, Human League, etc |
When I get my 10-disc up and going, I'm going to burn a race CD and keep it in there "just in case".
Realized today that you really can't beat some of the oldies, and angry country songs are good too. Something about them saying America is great while you're racing a great American car just seems so right, even though country can seem so wrong.:D |
Come on people! What about Stranglehold by Ted Nugent? That is the heaviest foot-having song there is - especially on a long cruise. Try the 7+ minutes of mellow but heavy tunes by the master himself and you will see.
|
Call me crazy but I like the tunes of the early 90s Like:
The Smashing Pumpkins Nirvana NIN Stone Temple Pilots Radiohead They all bring back memories to me like cruising in my stang and blasting ZERO from the pumpkins or Smells like teen spirit from Nirvana...ah memories... |
Here's Mine!
Gone in Sixty seconds soundtrack of course and we can't forget the classics like Life is a Highway and Highway to the danger zone!!!!!! ooo yah!!! And my all time favorite HEY PRETTY WANNA TAKE A RIDE WITH ME!!!!!!!! BY POE!!!!!
|

I usually will have a few "racing" CD's in my ten disc at all times. Slayer, OLD Metallica, Slipknot, Static X, usually any one of these will do, Keith
