Default Took out a modded 87-93 lx

Who was the guy on the New Jersey Turnpike that was trying to play this morning.I guess you didnt expect me to pull you like that.
What does a car like that with at least an exhaust run in the 1/4?

He was probably just trying to make you feel good. What are your mods? More than likely he could have taken you.

With just exhaust probably 14.5 or worse at <95mph, who knows, some lightly modded LX's run low 13's? What does your car do in the quarter?
Anyways gotta respect the sleeper, good kill!

A fox body lx with exhaust will run in the 14's. Was it a stick or auto?? A stick will be all over the place depending on the quality of driver, an aod might break a high 14.

What do you have in that "civic hybrid" and what's it run??

I have a 92 Civic hatchback with a motor from a 2000 Civic Si with 20,000 miles. It came from a wrecked car.I have Jap 2000 Integra Type R cams and Valve Springs and Cam Gears,I also have a Jap spec Integra Type R header with the 2 1/2 inch collector. . . . .with a 2 inch exhaust,i need a new one.I ran the car when it was stock with just the B16 and ran a 14.765@92.75 with a 2.151 60' time.I figure now i would run 13.7 with some drag radials,i hope or ill be pissed.I have about 1000 in mods not including the motor or the car.The car weighs 2090.You guys are the best, all the other boards would just diss me.

Nice to see you are putting your money into what counts, it's not my style but respectable. Keep up the good work and make this foreign vs. domestic battle more interesting.

Yea post here as much as you want man, most people are cool, it's just when the stories are outrageous, you know, "i pulled a 03 cobra until 160 mph" kinda stuff that make me call BS, but for the record, my lx notch is mostly stock, and i spanked a turbo civic, he said he had a boost problems, but i gave him the jump everytime, he did spin bad, i was on e.t. streets, but it wouldnt have mattered welcome to the board though....

Welcome vtechatch. This is the coolest stang board by far. Domestic or import........as long as the stories don't get "deep" we're all willing to listen. Nice Civic. My buddy's running a 13.8 @ 101 in his '93 Civic w/ the Type R motor and othr doodies in it (still n/a). Later.

The turbo civic i ran runs 13.9's at 100 with 5lbs of boost, and a bad 60', he is cool, because it looks stock outside, but with the whirlwind underneath. he beats up on all the riced oout stickers and wings eclipses, so he has my props.

Hey man welcome to the site. Pretty much anyone who comes here with a fast car is given respect. I respect people like yourself who actually put thier money into a civic to make it fast. Everyone here hates the guys who just put exhuast pipe and a cold air kit aalong with a billion stickers and claims they beat modded stangs left and right. I know there are fast hondas out there i just wish there were more competitive ones rather than all this rice crap.

Later,
Nick

I would have gone with the civic type R cams the jun springs and retainers the jun cam gears and a jun flywheel and get a jg intake manifold
my buddy has the that setup but he has the ls block with the b16 head and dc sport headers and that car flys
