How many clicks on the car Sp K? You've burned a clutch already?
That is an awesome time, you must drive the piss out of that car. But I would be worried about the rest of it falling apart soon ------------------ 1995 Mustang GT |

its a god damn civic.. so the clutch is not meant for drag racing!! I did over 100 runs with the stock clutch plus all the street racing and road racing I do... I launch at 6000 rpm and slip the clutch... thats why the clutch didnt last for long... but the new clutch I just cant slip it... it grab no matter what I do!!! I had 13000 miles on the car when I changed the clutch... it was still great for daily driving but not for 8200 rpm shift!
and about modding the stang... I cant... simply because I sold it last year... and the guy crashed it the week after! The civic is my new daily driver / wekend racer car! ------------------ 2000 Honda Civic SiR 14.984 @ 92.509 mph 1989 Ford Mustang LX Coupe 5.0L (RIP) 14.120 @ 98.126 mph [This message has been edited by Special K (edited 08-28-2001).] |

cilvrwing, don't underestimate the power of the K&N.....forget 14's, with the drop in and a couple of stickers, you'll skip 14's and dive deep into the 13's! j/k

13,000 miles and you changed the clutch...I've got over 60,000 miles, race off almost every light and I too have to slip the clutch (dam 2.73's bog otherwise ) and I am still going (Knock on....wood? wood!? where is the wood to knock on in these god dam new age offices!!!... ) Anyway, just think if your clutch was going, and now you can't slip it, the next weekest link is going to go! Civics are nice daily drivers, but I'm still not sold on the performance application for these cars. ------------------ 1995 Mustang GT [This message has been edited by 95mustanggt (edited 08-29-2001).] |

No not a herst like a herst (or hurst?) shifter. A hearse, like what they use to cart dead people away to the cemetary or crematorium. Basically a hatch-back limousine.
