1997 GT Turbo
A friend of mine just bought a 97 GT 5speed. He got it for $10,500. Its turbo charged! I've yet to see it, but I am going to check it out tomorrow. He said they didn't know anything about it at the dealer. He doesn't know crap about mustangs either, but he said he can drop the hammer at 40mph and roast the tires. DAMN! Thats better than my car!
I'm gettin worried. I may not have the fastest stang in town anymore. I might need a small shot of juice if this thing is fast, just to hold him off till the 351 is ready. Anyone know if a turbo is even possible for this car? Or could it be supercharged? He said the dealer had no clue, and it was fast as hell so he bought it. What could/should this thing be running? Sounds like you had better look at it yourself. If this guy doesn't know anything about cars and the dealer didn't know then they fed him full of crap. From what I've heard/seen there isn't a 4.6 turbo setup out yet. Unless it would be home made from salvage turbos. I highly doubt it. It could have a supercharger on it, but then the dealer wouldn't have let it go at that low of a price unless the block was cracked or it had 200,000 miles on it. I can roast the tires in my 4.6 at 40 mph, too. All I've got is 3.73s and K&N. Just downshift and give her hell. Easy to do. It's probably got gears in it. Who knows.
