Those new camaros are a worthy opponent and pull hard on the top end. but at the track it all comes down to the driver.

If I were racing for $100.00 there is no way that I would race him without inspecting his car first. Since he has already made you promise not to use your Nitrous you better make sure that he isnt hiding something... http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/wink.gif

I know him pretty well, Ive been feeding him parts for over 2 years now. He might do a few little things like a lit or cutouts but not much. I will inspect the car first and he probably will do the same.

Sky, The track heat is cheaper and revs a little higher. You said that the Holley made a lot more hp in the Anderson test but was that across the band or just at one point?

What converter is in his auto?

It will be a good run. What tires will he/you be on?

I don't know....... I saw a 01 ws6 run a high twelve bone stock.... even the stock air filter... (this guy was a GOOD driver)!!!! THe ls1's are pretty fast, my best friend has a 00 ws6 and can run a consistant 12.8 with only a underdrive pulley, air filter and flows on drag radials.... Becareful, if he is a good driver he might beat you. Good luck though!!

fastang 07-23-2001 05:02 PM

EZRIDN, Im going to be on my Nitto DR's and he will be on stock radials. He also has the stock convertor. The ONLY mod on his car right now is a set of 411's and he ran a 13.8 totaly stock.

Stang Runner, Thanks for the info. I really want the Holley but DAMN its expensive. Especialy since I have to buy that intake elbow. I think Im going to get Macs elbow for 60 bucks.

swtstang, I guess you'll have to stay tuned to find out http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/smile.gif It should be a good race.

Well, Im glad you chose mine http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/smile.gif The race is probably going to be on September 9th when they open Fontana. I still have to buy my intake though. I ordered the 94-95 intake elbow from Mac today and my heads should arrive today as well. But the heads arent worth **** without an intake to go with em.

Well the Track heat wasnt tested on the test that I saw.

There is the Street heat and the Track heat, so Im not sure which one they tested in that MMFF article someone posted about.

How much is the holley intake?

And yes it was just PEAK HP that the holley made more at.

Im sure you really can't go wrong any way you look at it.

I have probably one of the worst intakes and its making good power.

Sky, The Holley is nearly 600 bucks, the Track heat is 450 and the street heat is only 400.

Strangely the guy at the shop Im buying the heads from told me to get the cheaper Street Heat. He said it would rev to 6 just fine and that the Track heat will kill my low end torque. Either way I still need at least 4 bills.

Well, Damon (the guy Im racing) quit working here last week. He left for exactly two days and came back http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/biggrin.gif He got the gears in correctly now and says that the car's running great. I invited him to go to Fontana with us on the 8th and he said "Im there, Just dont forget your 50 bucks"

Its on like Donkey Kong!

Sky n all, What to you think of the Street Heat Intake? I think Im going to buy one from a member here for 270 bucks. Now I just need gaskets and headbolts http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/smile.gif
