New Best Times!! (long)
Well got sat off so went to the 1/4 mile track and had a few goals that i have been wanting to acheive. 1/8 time in the 8.6's, 1/8 m.p.h of 80, 1/4 time at least same as last time i ran 1/4 which is 13.84 and biggest one was to run 100 m.p.h in the 1/4.
I made them all!!! Got there early and hood open till then let us in then kept open while prepping car to run, took out tools, jack, spare, cooler full of ice ( was 95 today!) walked around a bit till they called lanes open and i headed over and lined up. turns out there was a corvette convention going on and i was 1 of only 3 mustangs running!! first run did good burnout ( got sideways) lined up 3000 launch and hit all gear at whats i though was high enough and ran 13.64@100.13! next run i was too excited to match and revd to high off line and spun bad and ran 14.XX. 3rd run was after a long cooldown so was hoping for something and got a 13.84@99 m.p.h and planned on one more run since it was around 1:00 and laned closed at 2:30 to get ready for the brackets racing. cooled car off for as long as possible and got in line and pushed till 3rd set to run then started and moved up did good burnout and left line at 4000 and did quick slip and this time i waited for shift light instead of like other runs where i was a little early and got my time slip and was my bext all day and got all my goals in 1 run, time slip was 13.545@101.38 1/4 8.68@80m.p.h 1/8. i beat my best my .3 of a second!! temp was 90-95 so with some cooler air could poissbly run 13.4X ?? hmmmmmm

mod list
Cobra intake 65mm T.B 76MM masss air and tube from c&l K&N Filter in fact airbox, no silencer Motorsports wires kenny brown subframes 3.73 gears Pro 5.0 shifter Alum driveshaft stock heads stock cam stock headers mccreary dirt track tires G-60-15 18 psi I took out marker light on pass side and was icing intake till cold and pushing car through the lanes till i was 3rd set of cars to run then start up. Would do 2nd gear burnout and in both lanes car would start going sideways! Then I'd light the top bulb and then bring rev's up to where i wanted to leave would slip clutch to light second bulb and use e-brake to stop car. would leave the line when second light would go off and had r.t's in the .7xx range.

60' time was on first run 1.89, second run 2.27 (spun bad), third run 1.97 and last run was 1.91 On first 3 run i had been shifting too early cause i was watching the tach and not my shift lightt so i waited for the light on last and that how i got my best times. Had it set for 5400 rpm's. last time i went in january i got 2 13.8 so i figured in the heat that i might be able to run 13.9- 14.0 and was surprized by the 13.6 and shocked by the 13.5!
