Firebird eats it in AZ
Im a 17 year old senior in arizona.
I went to my grandma's house tonight to help my mom and them get ready for dinner tomorrow and i had nothing better to do. As i leave and get on 35th ave, im sitting at a red light while a red firebird turns left and starts heading up the street that i will be on once i get the green. Turning left behind him is a `00 black stang (think cobra). we all catch up and im behind the cobra at the light and they are side by side. the firebird lights up his tires while the light is still red, once it turns green they both punch it. the firebird stomps this stang to NOTHING. So, the cobra takes a right on a small street and so it is just the firebird and i. we stop at a red light at it would have been the firebird and some typical civic at the light but get this. The civic throws on his reverse lights so i keep my distance, he pulls into a parking lot and i pull forward, the civic THEN pulls behind me . So we get the green and the firebird spins a bit and i wasnt really in the racing mood tonight so i really dont do anything but then he slows down and his girlfriend (i assume his girlfriend) sticks her hand out and waves me up. then i nothing a sticker on the bastards car. You know those little guys that piss on things? well guess what his guy was pissing on? YUP! the good old blue oval . So we stop again and we are the only 2 at the light (the civic comes up a little later) the light sits at red a little bit then i notice the "other way" lights blink yellow, so i wink at his girlfriend and the light turns green, i punch it into first grabbing about 5k RPM's. He gets a fender infront of me and i get into second, im inching my way up slowly and then i hit third and f*cking dust him and throw on my hazards. he took a right at the next light and my house was less than 1/2 a mile away First race in almost 2 weeks -- didn't realize i missed it so much |

Nice kill, I hate those stickers too (they really look stupid on any car IMHO). What type of chicken was it, LT1, LS1 etc. Just curious you must have a pretty nice set-up...share with us.
cheers

It was an LS1, looked like it was dropped about 2-3 inches in the front and maybe 1 in the back (if not 0)...was a nice car all and all but had to go down

depends on who you get for tech...heheh... I shouldnt be legal to run 13's in the 'vert because I dont have a roll bar (converts need a roll bar at 13.99 and quicker), but I've madeevery pass in the 13's and they never said anything.. but booted someone else from Azstangs with a convert for running a 13... soo... stuff like lugs, seat belts, over flow etc they check.. depends on how fast you go really....I usually go to the Sat night races they run once a month... friday nights are way to busy.... you might try speedworld too... they prep the track better there...
check out Azmustangs.com , someone is always going to either track... speedworld doesnt close, but I think firebird closes from the middle of Dec. to maybe the end of Jan. ;-)
