It did lose some snap down low, but the top end gain more than made up for it. With the GT-40 I made peak power @ about 5000 rpm. The Holley made peak power @ 5800. I have a lighter car than you, so the torque loss might not be as noticeable on my car.

I have a similar setup,I am running a 100 shot my best run at carlsbad is a 12.5@112mph, what kind of suspension setup do you have? I think with my trap speed, I have alot more in this car. Any suggestions? I know I am killing myself with all the handling components, and middle road or tricks I can do?

What is the elevation of Carlsbad? I would think a heads/cam/intake 302 with a 100 shot would go quicker than 112 mph. More like 115-116 at least.

Carlsbad is abput 50feet.

I believe it is close to sea level. Carlsbad is a terrible track in general, I have talked to guys that have ran thier cars at Pamona and ran almost a second faster with the same setup.

Sounds good Sky, I am running on the drag radials, but I am very limited on side wall because of the baer brakes, can't fit any smaller of a wheel. Need to research some more, possibly find a thin 16" rim

On second inspection thats not my legs, I Have tan colored shorts on well over my knees.

I was just playin around man....My thighs are WHIIIIIIIITE so I always gotta have shorts on down to my knees. My knees are even pretty white compared to my calves and shins too. I was out in the sun for about 8 1/2 hours per day for 5 days straight a few weeks ago at football camp wearing full pads. My lower legs got nice and dark, but that's it!

And no, I don't pull up my shorts when I tan at the beach. Actually, I don't tan at the beach, I don't even tan at all! I just work outside all day and usually don't have a shirt on...:cool:
